We use a careful process to refinish or restore your furniture.

Our Process

  1. Furniture is taken apart and hardware is bagged and labeled.

  2. Old finish is stripped off by hand. No water, lye, or any caustic material is ever used.

  3. Any damage is repaired and missing or broken pieces are carefully reproduced.

  4. Sanding to prepare the wood for staining.

  5. Custom colour consultation with client. We hand blend stains and finishes to match your decorating needs. If needed, we will do multiple consultations to be sure you are pleased with your results.

  6. Screws are tightened. Chair rungs or other stress areas are re-glued.

  7. Hardware is polished or replaced.

  8. Each piece is completely reassembled.

  9. Stain is hand rubbed into the wood.

  10. Sealers are applied.

  11. Sanding between coats of sealer and a final coat is applied.

  12. Everything is checked for smooth operation and ready for delivery.
